In November, 2010, Scott was elected to represent District 4 on the Craven County Board of Commissioners.
Over the past 25 years Scott has been engaged in providing government relations services to a host of corporations, not for profit institutions, and governments.
In 1989, Scott accepted a political appointment with the Administration of President George H.W. Bush, serving as the Congressional affairs liaison at the United States Small Business Administration in Washington, DC. Establishing PACE Government Relations after leaving the Bush Administration, Scott maintains offices in both Washington, DC and New Bern.
Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1986. He and his wife Jennifer have two children and reside in Trent Woods.
